Ⓠ How do you bring playfulness into your style choices, and what inspires you to take risks with your outfits?
Ⓐ I find it very defining to have structure to style, so I try not to abide by that. Personally, it’s a matter of when and how I type a beat. I have enjoyed experimenting with textures and proportions a lot lately. I can admit this has changed my outlook on my body positivity and image. I can be pretty versatile with style, which I have learned is okay, as I have been a harsh self-critic in the past. If I could, I would sleep in denim, though.
Ⓠ What are your go-to styling tricks or habits that help you express your personality through your outfits?
Ⓐ I have some staple jewelry pieces and a versatile coat/blazer, regardless of the season. Currently, it is silver, but contrary to popular opinion, I also believe in mixing metals. I go from silver to gold and bronze, depending on the current feel or desired look. My go-to safety nets are dark/stone-washed hard denim and oversized coats.
Ⓠ Can you describe a favorite outfit or look showcasing your personality?
Ⓐ My style is more of a preference pool. Lately, it’s either all very baggy or very fitted. For the longest time, I relied on coats and collected a bunch. I would say I enjoy a versatile boot as a staple.
Ⓠ How do you balance experimenting with fashion and staying true to your style?
Ⓐ My biggest pet peeve is uniformity. I wouldn’t consider my style any far different from most people, but neither am I a product of the hype in most cases. My wardrobe is a brick-by-brick pile-up of the body that is me. Phases, places, seasons, influences and peers. I rarely enjoy trends. If I were to unpack that, I think it comes from having an institutional-based upbringing. There’s heavy uniformity and influence in that. I would love to commend my love for fashion and personal style; however, it would be fair to state that growing up, having to wear a school uniform had a significant impact on me, and I felt the need to express myself through clothing.
Ⓠ What influences your fashion choices more: the mood you’re in or the surroundings you’re in?
Ⓐ I am a bit of both. I am a product of my surroundings; however, my creativity is more expression-based.

Ⓠ What are your go-to styling tricks or habits that help you express your personality through your outfits?
Ⓐ Layering has always been central to my approach to dressing, and this season is perfect for it. For me, layers add depth and quiet complexity, giving even the simplest outfit an extra dimension. It’s in the subtle contrasts – textures meeting, shapes unfolding – that a look becomes unique and exciting. I pay a lot of attention to textures and small details like the cuts, the materials, the seams…
Accessories, too, play an essential role in how I express myself because I tend to use the same ones quite often. Some of the pieces that I currently use are the ‘’Männyt’’ earrings and brooch designed by Ildar Wafin for Kalevala. The brooch is endlessly versatile, a piece that feels just as good on a heavy coat as on something more delicate. The typical way of wearing a brooch is by attaching it to one of the sides of your chest, but I just attach it wherever it looks good. I use it as any piece of jewelry or to wrap my shirts and blazers. Ultimately, the details – the layering, the carefully chosen accessories – allow me to express myself fully through fashion.
Ⓠ Can you tell us about a favorite outfit or look showcasing your personality?
Ⓐ I have a few key pieces and looks that truly represent my style and aesthetic—one of them being the outfit I wore for this interview. Each piece has its own story, most of them second-hand or vintage finds alongside designs from creators I admire. The corset I’m wearing is by Hyein Seo, and the top/vest is a handmade custom piece by my talented friend Lera, who runs her own brand, Alabaster London.
Regarding style, I love blending influences that speak to different sides of my personality. I’m drawn to an ethereal, almost fairy-like aesthetic, with sculptural or deconstructed details and sort of raw or crinkled textures. I’m also especially drawn to Japanese designers like Yohji Yamamoto and Junya Watanabe, who have been major inspirations for me. Their asymmetrical silhouettes and androgynous designs speak to me, and I’ve collected a few pieces from both, which I wear all the time.
Also, I must say that Fran Lebowitz has quite inspired me for the past few years. I’ve been inspired not just by her sharp wit and unapologetic personality but also by her minimalist, sophisticated, and rather anti-trend style. She has always worn white shirts, oversized blazers—often pinstriped, I’ve noticed—and other basics like loafers and such. Overall, she has quite classic and masculine looks, which I love. My favorite looks are those that allow me to combine and layer elements from all these inspirations, blending the avant-garde with a sense of playful yet structured simplicity
Ⓠ What pieces in your wardrobe make you feel the most confident and carefree?
Ⓐ I’ve built much of my wardrobe from second-hand and vintage finds, which offers a sense of uniqueness. There’s something deeply satisfying about knowing the pieces I wear have their history and aren’t replicated everywhere. I have a few favorite pieces I tend to wear all the time. For example, I have a white crinkled vintage Roberto Cavalli shirt I bought from a friend, Yohji Yamamoto’s Y bag, and a black vintage tunic I found in Paris.
They’re all pieces that might not seem very special at first glance, at least not individually. But when you look closer, you notice that the detailing, the textures, cuts, and the materials are exquisite, and they feel comfortable to wear.
Ⓠ How do you balance experimenting with fashion and staying true to your style?
Ⓐ I used to experiment more with fashion, but over time, I’ve developed a strong sense of what I like and what feels authentic. I’ve become attached to my favorite pieces and feel like they’ve become signature elements of my style. I love wearing them repeatedly like they’re part of my personal story.
For me, my wardrobe is more a reflection of who I am than a place for constant experimentation. It’s a way to showcase my personality and the influences that inspire me. While I pay attention to trends, I usually incorporate just small elements rather than fully committing. I’ll blend what feels fresh with pieces that are already true to my style so it stays authentic to me. Ultimately, fashion is more about expressing my identity than following every trend. It’s about balancing between exploring new things and staying true to myself.

Ⓠ How do you bring playfulness into your style choices, and what inspires you to take risks with your outfits?
Ⓐ I love wearing bold and outstanding pieces. I love playing around with different styles and moods daily. One day, I feel like looking sharp and preppy, and the next day, you see me wearing sweats and oversized clothes. During the daytime and I dressing for an occasion are two different people.
I love shoes, jackets, and accessories. I spent a lot of money on these pieces. I usually combine them with more neutral pieces like a pair of jeans and a T-shirt.
I love things that nobody has, lol. I’m also on the hunt for things that are not current and not in fashion at the moment. I always try to do the opposite. I like hunting and finding new designers and weird pieces. That can be a T-shirt with an odd print or a shoe from the past. I also love classic staple pieces of clothing like workwear and mixing and matching things together.
Ⓠ What are your go-to styling tricks or habits that help you express your personality through your outfits?
Ⓐ The problem with me is that I have too many moods and sides. One day, I’ll put on an oversized blazer and some loafers. The next day, I’ll be in sweats or go to a ball and wear a red carpet look. Maintaining these different personalities and staying true to myself is pretty challenging. Most of the time, you also lose yourself in the mix and wear the most basic and comfortable things in the closet.
Ⓠ Can you describe a favorite outfit or look showcasing your personality?
Ⓐ My favorite current outfit is my quilted black bomber jacket, my Issey Miyake knit paired with jeans, and my black leather Clarks Wallabies. I love work wear, denim, trench coats, bombers and blazers. That’s where I feel most like myself.

Ⓠ How do you bring playfulness into your style choices, and what inspires you to take risks with your outfits?
Ⓐ It may be a texture, an accessory, or a specific color that pops out in the layers of the outfit. The world’s absurdity inspires me to take risks with my outfits. Style is a unique expression of one’s taste, and It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. I buy most of my clothing second-hand, so whenever I find a piece that resonates with me, I might buy it. A lot of the time, I found it, got it from someone, or went through my mom’s closet.
Ⓠ What are your go-to styling tricks or habits that help you express your personality through your outfits?
Ⓐ Flare pants are my go-to choice, for sure. I like to wear bootcuts, flares, or whatever baggy pants I can find in my closet. I want to play with different earthy tones and add a piece with more natural bright colors like blues, greens, or turquoise. I love Iong winter coats, furry ones, and ones that have had a story before I discovered them. I have my everyday jewelry, but when I’m in the mood or have to dress up for an occasion, I’ll stack up lots of jewelry to bring a sense of roughness or heaviness into the outfit.
Ⓠ Can you describe a favorite outfit or look showcasing your personality
Ⓐ Boots bring me confidence. I love the sound of my steps when I have my boots on.
Ⓠ How do you balance experimenting with fashion and staying true to your style?
Ⓐ I don’t really care about trends, and I truly think that money can’t buy you a style. I think of style as a creative expression. I think that the personality in what we wear comes from within when we follow the rawest, truest parts of ourselves. Wear clothing that makes us feel like our most authentic selves.

Ⓠ How do you bring playfulness into your style choices, and what inspires you to take risks with your outfits?
Ⓐ Freedom is one of my core values: the freedom to be, love, create, and express oneself through fashion. I feel my best when I can channel my creativity into assembling beautiful outfits alongside my other artistic outlets. I enjoy experimenting, whether it’s seeing how many polka-dotted pieces I can layer together in one ensemble or exploring how multiple skirts look when styled on top of each other.
Ⓠ What are your go-to styling tricks or habits that help you express your personality through your outfits?
Ⓐ I love monochromatic looks as well as pops of color and quirky combinations. For this shoot’s sake, we went overboard with colors and textures, yet sometimes, I adore minimalistic outfits. It really depends on my mood and the occasion. I typically complete my outfits with rings and earrings, and I strive to always have on a piece of jewelry or accessory that I’ve crafted myself. Maybe my name plays a part in this, but my favorite color has always been rose, and I often wear it because I think it suits me. A signature look for me is a skirt layered over pants; the play of femininity and masculinity allows me to express my identity freely and makes me feel comfortable, sexy, and confident.
Ⓠ Can you describe a favorite outfit or look showcasing your personality?
Ⓐ One of my favorite looks has been wearing a full-length dress layered with a shorter dress on top, paired with a sweater, sustainable tights from Swedish Stockings, and my mom’s vintage Impulse Cat Pumas. In that outfit, I felt radiant, like my soft and darling personality was beautifully visible through my clothing. I really enjoy negligees, fun shoes, and anything handmade.
Ⓠ How do you balance experimenting with fashion and staying true to your style?
Ⓐ I adore the versatility of my wardrobe, which allows me to construct an entirely new persona each day. While trends may serve as a source of inspiration, I prioritize selecting pieces that resonate with my personal style, feel good to wear, and complement my existing collection. I have curated my closet to focus on unique, sustainable, high-quality items. I also enjoy renting or borrowing clothing to create diverse looks.
Ⓠ What influences your fashion choices more: the mood you’re in or the surroundings you’re in?
Ⓐ My day is invariably better when I dress well! I draw inspiration from my loved ones, beautiful films, distinctive outfits I encounter on the street, my dreams, and my childhood drawings. Sometimes, I choose to dress according to my current emotions, while at other times, I find myself styling in ways that I know will uplift my mood. I feel like my creativity knows no bounds. It’s a lovely journey of reflecting on my style and the joy and love I pour into every detail. Ultimately, my fashion and art celebrate individuality – a reminder that we can all embrace our unique expressions and let our true selves be seen and celebrated.
